What do you think about vandalism on old structures, especially ones that are nationally historic monuments?

I created this group to concentrate on places in and around Philly that are haunted, namely Ft. Mifflin, ESP (Eastern State Penitentiary), Independence Hall, the house of Edgar Allen Poe, PMA (the Philadelphia Museum of Art), Pen Ryn, the Grotto at Eden Hall, etc. to share ideas & knowledge on ghost hunting and to spread awareness about vandalism. I have seen and experienced many things and the absolute worst things that I have had the horror to see is vandalism. And no, I'm not talking about Byberry, not really. Byberry was doomed before it even officially closed. It was going to come down, it was inevitable! And there was nothing that anyone could have done to prevent that. It was always on the short list of the places that needed to be demolished and it was never on any list for places that might or could be saved. Byberry was also not a nationally historic monument.
